There's a slick new video feature at Pravda ELO since Ash Wednesday. It's called "I Am Episcopalian" and it consists of a series of 90-second video snippets of various people telling why they joined TEO. I don't know the laity and will not presume to comment on their statements, other than to say I am sure the original videos were chosen to give the spin TEO wants about being a member. Others may post videos, but TEC will review them before they go on the site, so good luck if you want anything "fair and balanced."
Two faces on there, however, tell me all I need to know - Mark Andrus, and Stacy Sauls. That's right - Mark "Gay Pride Parade" Andrus, and Stacy "the Bible's a nice book of history and poetry but you don't need it for salvation" Sauls. If you have a strong stomach, go check them out. But take a barf bag for these two.
Too bad Sauls didn't tell his infamous story of his final inspiration to enter the priesthood - he and some buddies went to a strip club. Sauls was in the front row, and when a stripper squatted in front of him her garter had the words "Go For It" inscribed. He took that as a divine sign that he should enter the priesthood. You can take the fact that the garter is what he noticed to mean whatever you want. But the again, I'm sure his leader and mentor the High Priestess would not have appreciated that one.
Im no videographer or technician of the electronic arts, but I think one of the bigger sites like Stand Firm needs to prepare a counter-video entitled "I'm Not Episcopalian" and let dozens of us submit snippets of why we left TEO. How about it, Greg?
That sounds more like a job for Kevin Kallsen (Anglican videographer supreme) or BabyBlue.
In any case, what a great idea!

I would agree to give a 90-sec. blurb on such a video! Let's see if we can find a videographer.
